Description

Also known as Banded Cichlid, Banded Severum, Convict Fish, Golden Severum, Green Severum, Hero Cichlid, Sedate Cichlid, Severum, Striped Cichlid.

Found around submerged tree roots, and branches overhanging lakes, flood plains, river basins and slow moving rivers. Colours vary.
They feed on algae, detritus, fruits and seeds.
