Description

Also known as Brachyura Crab, Leucosia anatum, Painted Pebble Crab, Pebble Crab, Purse Crab, Rubble Crab, True Crab.

Found over pebbles and sandy areas, of coral and rocky reefs and shorelines.
They feed on plankton.
Length - 2.5cm
Depth - land-15m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Brachyura crabs are considered true crabs, they have a short abdomen, 4 walking legs and a pair of clawed arms at the front.

    This pebble crab agreed with Coleusia urania and C. huileanae, which the former sp. found in China Sea and the latter found in Gulf of Thailand through Indian Ocean.
