Found in pairs or small schools, amongst coral and rubble, over channels, drop-offs, and slopes, of protected lagoons and seaward reefs, rich in coral growth.
They feed on algae, small crustaceans, and worms.

Angelfish are usually brightly coloured with highly compressed bodies.
