Description

Also known as Black-spotted Garden Eel, Hass's Garden Eel.

Found in large colonies, half buried over sand and seagrass beds, usually waving their heads around pointing into the current feeding, quickly disappearing when alarmed, over sandy slopes.
They feed on zooplankton.
Length - 40cm
Depth - 7-45m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

Garden Eels rise up in the sand halfway their body length waving in the sand feeding on plankton.
