Description
Also know as Dusky Cardinal, Dusky Cardinalfish, Guam Cardinalfish, Nurseryfish, Pearl Cardinal, Pearl Cardinalfish, Samoan Cardinalfish, Three-saddled Cardinalfish.
Found singly, or in small schools, during the day sheltering in the arms staghorn corals, or hiding in caves and crevices of the reef, dispersing at night foraging for food, over shallow lagoons and reef flats.
They feed nocturnally on small fish and benthic invertebrates
