Description

Also know as Dusky Cardinal, Dusky Cardinalfish, Guam Cardinalfish, Pearl Cardinal, Pearl Cardinalfish, Samoan Cardinalfish, Three-saddled Cardinalfish.

Found singly or in small schools, during the day sheltering in the arms staghorn corals or hiding in caves and crevices of the reef, dispersing at night to foraging for food over shallow lagoons and reef flats.
They feed nocturnally on small fish and benthic invertebrates

Widespead Indo-Pacific
