Description

Also know as Flame Cardinal, Flame Cardinalfish, Nurseryfish, Spotted Cardinal, Spotted Cardinalfish.

Found singly, pairs, or in small schools, during the day, sheltering in crevices, cracks, pilings, reef walls, sea walls, and shadowy areas around harbours, dispersing at night foraging for food over the reef, often in high energy zones.
They feed nocturnally on zooplankton.

Widespread Western Central Atlantic, Caribbean
