Description

Also known as Common Long-necked Turtle, Common Snake-necked Turtle, Eastern Snake-necked Turtle, Sideneck Turtle, Stinker.

Found in drainage ditches, and shallow rivers. Females usually larger than males.
They feed on crustaceans, small fish, frogs, insects, molluscs and worms.
Length - 28cm
Depth - In and out the water
Indo-West Pacific - South Eastern Australia

These turtles live in and out the water and can submerge for long periods of time.
They withdraw their necks into their shells sideways.
