Description

Also known as Leatherjacket.

Found singly or in pairs, over coral and rocky reefs.
They feed on benthic algae and weeds.
Length - 45cm
Depth - 3-2000m
Widespread Eastern Atlantic, Western Atlantic

Filefish can alter their colour and pattern to match their surrounds and so deter predators.
