Description
Also known as Coralcod, Hind, Rockcod, Toothed Grouper, Trout.
Found singly or in schools over mud, rock and sandy bottoms and around shipwrecks of medium too deep reefs.
They feed on fish, invertebrates and molluscs.

Widespread Eastern Atlantic, Mediterranean
Groupers are solitary carnivores that hunt near the bottom usually at dusk. Food is drawn into their mouths by a powerful suction when they open their overly large mouths and then swallowed whole.
