Also known as Central North Burrowing Crayfish, Freshwater Crayfish.

Found in colonies, close to their burrows in banks of streams, swamps, and wetlands.
They feed on deceasing organic matter.

This crayfish has a large granulated Claw.
Their burrows are made from constructing characteristic ‘chimneys’ made from balls of mud placed at the entrance of their burrow. These may range from just a few mud pellets or a structure to 40 cm in height! Ref: x
