Description

Also known as Crocodilefish, Sand Flathead, White-speckled Flathead.

Found singly often partially buried in the sand for camouflage over coral, rock and sandy fringing reefs.
They feed nocturnally on crustaceans and fish.
Length - 35cm
Depth - 1-30m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

Flatheads are closely related to Scorpionfish.
