Also known as Black Velvet Angel, Brown Angelfish, Grey Poma, Grey Poma Angelfish, Phantom Angelfish.

Found singly, or in pairs, around exposed, current swept areas drop-offs, along coastal reefs, rich in invertebrate growth.
They feed on sponges and tunicates.
Juveniles over deep rubble slopes.
Length - 20cm
Depth - 5-30m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Angelfish are usually brightly coloured with highly compressed bodies.
