Description

Also known as Bar-Tailed Flathead, Indian Flathead, Indo-Pacific Flathead.

Found singly lying on mud and sand bottoms of estuaries and coastal reefs.
They feed on benthic algae, crustaceans and fish.
Length - 100cm
Depth - 20-200m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Flatheads are closely related to Scorpionfish.
