Description

Also known as Baleares Conger, Balearic Conger.

Found during the day, burrowed into soft mud or sand, close to reefs or shorelines, out at night foraging for food.
They feed nocturnally on crustaceans and small fish.
Length - 35cm
Depth - 1-700m
Widespread Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean, Mediterranean

Garden Eels rise up in the sand halfway their body length waving in the sand feeding on plankton.
