Mollies, Poecilia sphenops. Probably placed in the wetland to control mosquitoes. I don't know how effective they are though. They are omnivorous so they may help control certain macrophyte and algal species too. But mainly I have two thoughts, mosquito control and/or aquarium release. They could have also been released with any submerged plants since they are so ubiquitous.
