Found singly, pairs, or in small groups, over shallow, protected, rubble and sandy areas, of reefs.
They feed by sucking tiny invertebrates into their mouths.

Depth - 0-21m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

Pipefish are like seahorses in that the male gives birth!
