Found in pairs or large schools, close to Acropora coral branches, over shallow reef flats, lagoons, and seaward reefs, rich in coral growth.
They feed on filamentous algae, sponges, and tunicates.

Depth - 1-30m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Rabbitfish are usually found in algae rich reefs.
