Found in pairs in clear lagoons and seaward reefs rich in coral growth.
They feed on algae, seagrass and weeds.

Rabbitfish are usually found in algae rich reefs.
They have venomous spines in the Anal Fin and at both ends of the ventral fin. These can inflict extremely painful injuries. (edit)
