Found singly on hard bottoms with reef and coral debris.
Medium sized prawn, red with large blue/green eyes with a prominent hump.
They feed on plankton.
Length - 6-10cm
Depth - 4-200m
Widespread Western Pacific
These prawns are usually nocturnal, hiding in sand during the day.
They are edible prawns.
