Description

Also known as Lyretail Angel, Lyretail Angelfish, Masked Angelfish, Swallowtail Angelfish, Zebra Lyretail Angel, Zebra Lyretail Angelfish.

Found in pairs or harems often feeding in the water column over steep outer reef slopes.
They feed on zooplankton.
Males have stripes, females plain with spotting.
Length - 20cm
Depth - 2-70m
Widespread Western Indian Ocean

Angelfish are usually brightly coloured with highly compressed bodies.
