Description

Also known as Orange-eyed Moray Eel, Starry Moray, Yellowmouth Eel, Yellowmouth Moray Eel, Yellow-mouthed Moray Eel.

Found singly in crevices and holes of inner and outer reef slopes mainly in oceanic waters.
They feed on fish.
Length - 180cm
Depth - 2-270m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

Morays open and close their mouths to move water through their gills for respiration.
