Description

Also known as African Cichlid, Leopard Cichlid, Malawi Cichlid, Polystigma Cichlid.

Found in small schools, over rock and sandy areas, with lots of vegetation.
They feed on smaller fish, usually hunting in packs, although sometimes a fish will play dead, and when its prey comes near it will swallow it whole!

Female takes brood into her mouth and takes care of the young.
A freshwater fish often seen in the aquarium trade.
