Also known as Dancer Shrimpgoby, Graceful Prawngoby, Graceful Shrimpgoby, Gudgeon, Prawn Goby, Shrimp Goby, Whitecap Goby, White-capped Goby, White-capped Prawngoby.
Found singly, or in pairs, waving their Pectoral fins, and sharing their burrow, with the alpheid shrimp - Alpheus rubromaculatus, over shaded rubble, and sand bottoms, of coastal and outer reefs.
They feed on benthic crustaceans.

Shrimp Gobies live a symbiotic relationship with snapping shrimps.
