Description
Also known as Aplesid Slug, Bali Monster, Blunt-end Sea Hare, Dared Sea Hare, Dolabella Sea Hare, Eared Sea Hare, Giant Sea Hare, Giant Warty Sea Hare, Nudibranch, Shoulderblade Sea Cat.
Found singly or in pairs during the day, often buried in the substrate for protection, amongst grass, mud, rubble and sandy areas. Crawling around foraging for food at night, over sheltered bays and lagoons. When predators come too close they will discharge a purple fluid to warn them off. Varies in colour.
They feed on red, brown and green algae.
