Description

Also known as Many-lined Fusilier, Thin-lined Fusilier, Yellow-and-Blue-striped Fusilier, Yellow-striped Fusilier.

Found in schools, with other caesionid's, over deep lagoons and seaward reefs. Varies in colour from blue to red with night and day.
They feed midwater on zooplankton.
Length - 40cm
Depth - 2-25m
Widespread Indian Ocean

Fusiliers are close relatives of snappers, but are much smaller and more slender.
Schools of fusiliers often have other species mixed in.
