Description

Also known as Brown Moray, Brown Moray Eel, Brown Reef Eel, Ghost Eel, Moray, Snake Moray, Unicolor Snake Moray Eel, Uniform Reef Eel.

Found singly, during the day in reef caves, crevices, or buried in rubble or sand, over shallow coral reefs, brackish rivers, and mangrove swamps.
They feed nocturnally on crustaceans and small fish.
Length - 50cm
Depth - 1-10m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

Morays open and close their mouths to move water through their gills for respiration.
