Description

Also known as Butterfish, Fingerfin, Morwong, Natal Fingerfin, Two-tone Fingerfish.

Found singly, over rocky bottoms of shorelines, to very deep waters, of coral and rocky reefs.
They feed on benthic invertebrates.
Length - 40cm
Depth - 0-240m
Widespread Southeast Atlantic, Western Indian Ocean

Morwongs are found in cool tropical to temperate waters.
They feed by taking mouthfuls of sand and filter benthic invertebrates through their gill raker's.
