Description

Also known as Barenape Goby, Doublespot Sandgoby, Gudgeon, Hawaiian Sandgoby, Sand Goby, Twospot Sandgoby.

Found singly, or in small schools, over rubble and sandy bottoms, with depressions and holes in the floor, close to their burrows, in clear seaward reefs.
They feed on small benthic invertebrates.

Widespread Indo-West Pacific

These Gobies feed by taking a mouthful of sand that is filtered through the gills for tiny creatures.
