Found singly and secretive, or in harems, over lagoons and seaward reef slopes, rich in coral growth. Varies in colour, orange in deep water and blue in shallow waters.
They feed on algae.

Depth - 3-60m
Widespread Indo-Pacific

Angelfish are usually brightly coloured with highly compressed bodies.
