Also known as Black-banded Bream, Doublebar Bream, Seabream, Two-banded Bream, Two-banded Porgy, Twobar Bream, Twobar Porgy.

Found in small schools, hovering or swimming above sandy areas, over shallow bays and estuaries.
They feed on benthic invertebrates and molluscs.
Length - 40cm
Depth - 2-20m
Widespread Western Indian Ocean, Mediterranean

Porgies are found in tropical as well as cooler waters, and are bottom-dwelling carnivores. Most species possess grinding, molar-like teeth, for eating crustaceans. Ref: https://www.fishbase.se/summary/4543

    I have sighted these fish in Oman, Qatar, and Saudi also, they are very prominent there
