Also known as Crocodilefish, Heart-headed Flathead, Tuberculate Flathead.

Found singly, sometimes buried into vegetated sand bottoms, over mud and sandy bottoms, of the continental shelf.
They feed on crustaceans and small fish.
Length - 14cm
Depth - 9-80m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Flatheads are closely related to Scorpionfish.
