Description

Also known as Dwarf Monocle Bream, Monocle Bream, Seaperch, Yellow-striped Monocle Bream.

Found singly or in loose schools, over flat bottoms, in off-shore reefs.
They feed on crustaceans, fish, and benthic invertebrates.
Length - 10cm
Depth - 150-300m
Widespread Western Pacific

Most Snappers live in moderate depths, however there are a few that live much deeper. Juveniles found on inshore reefs.
They are nocturnal predators that mainly feed on fish, but will eat crustaceans, gastropods and cephalopods.
