Description
Also known as Sea Perch, Timor Seaperch.
Found singly, over coral and rubble reefs.
They feed on crustaceans and fish.
Juveniles found around outcrops of reef debris, over muddy coastal slopes.
Length - 50cm
Depth - 20-150m
Widespread Western Pacific
Most Snappers live in moderate depths, however there are a few that live much deeper. Juveniles found on inshore reefs.
They are nocturnal predators that mainly feed on fish, but will eat crustaceans, gastropods and cephalopods.
