Description

Also known as Blackblotch Emperor, Blackspot Emperor, Pigface Bream.

Found singly or in small schools over shallow sandy areas amongst coral rubble, mangroves and seagrass beds close to coral reefs in channels, lagoons and seaward reefs.
They feed on crustaceans, fish, invertebrates, molluscs and worms.

Depth - 0-20m
Widespread Indo-West Pacific
