Also know as Forktail Rabbitfish, Gold-spotted Spinefoot, Marbled Spinefoot, Mottled Spinefoot, Rabbitface Spinefoot, Rabbit-faced Spinefoot, Roman-nose Spinefoot, Schooling Rabbitfish, Silver Rabbitfish, Silver Spinefoot, Spinefoot, Streaked Spinefoot.

Found in large schools, swimming fast above reefs, diving down to the bottom to feed, over coastal lagoons and inner reef slopes. When threatened or asleep they change to a mottled pattern.
They feed on algae.

Widespread Indo-Pacific

Rabbitfish are usually found in algae rich reefs.
