Description
Also known as Black-snouted Sergeant Major, Clouded Damselfish, Sergeant, Sergeant Major, Staghorn Damsel, Staghorn Sergeant.
Found in schools, sheltering in the arms of staghorn corals, over coastal bays, lagoons, inner and outer passages of reefs.
They feed on filamentous algae and zooplankton.

Damselfish are egg layers.
