Description

Also known as Marie Jeanne, Nurseryfish, Singlestripe Cardinalfish, Spinyeye Cardinalfish, Spiny-eyed Cardinalfish, Spurcheek Cardinal, Spurcheek Cardinalfish, Tapered-line Cardinalfish.

Found singly or in small schools, around bases of coral heads and under ledges, over clear water reef flats, of lagoons and seaward reefs.
They feed on small invertebrates.

Depth - 3-50m
Widespread Indo-Pacific
