Description

Also known as Jima, Seabream, Whitespotted Pigface Bream.

Found singly, or in small schools, during the day hovering over sandy areas of reef flats and slopes, dispersing at night to hunt alone over reefs.
They feed nocturnally on crustaceans, echinoderms and molluscs.

Depth - 1-40m
Widespread Indian Ocean
