Also known as Aporos Sleeper, Eleotris Serpent, Floral Snakehead Gudgeon, Gudgeon, Ornate Sleeper, Sleeper Goby, Snake-headed Gudgeon.

Found over mud bottoms, often amongst dense vegetation, in freshwater, inshore estuaries, flood plains, rivers, coastal streams and swamps.
They feed on algae, small crustaceans, insects and plants.

Widespread Africa to Oceania
