Description

Also known as Littlemouth Porgy, Porgy Grunt, Speckled Porgy.

Found swimming or hovering, above semi-hard bottoms, of clearwater, coral reefs. Often displaying body bars, when close to the bottom feeding.
They feed on crustaceans and molluscs.
Juveniles found in seagrass beds.

Depth - 3-80m
Widespread Western Atlantic, Caribbean
