Description

Also known as Blue Fusilier, Blue-and-Gold Fusilier, Blue-and-Yellow Fusilier, Goldband Fusilier, Gold-banded Fusilier, Scissor-tailed Fusilier.

Found in schools, over coral reefs, in deep lagoons and seaward reefs. Varies in colour from blue to red with night and day.
They feed on zooplankton.

Widespread Indo-West Pacific

Fusiliers are close relatives of snappers, but are much smaller and more slender.
Schools of fusiliers often have other species mixed in.
