Description

Also know as Nurseryfish, Red Cardinal.

Found singly, pairs, or in small schools, during the day in caves, coral holes, and in tubular sponges, dispersing at night, foraging for food over the reef.
They feed nocturnally on zooplankton.
Length - 7cm
Depth - 1-75m
Widespread Western Central Atlantic, Caribbean
