Description

Also known as Flame Scooter Blenny, Moyer's Scooter Dragonet, Ruby Red Dragonet, Scarlet Scooter Blenny.

Found singly, or in pairs, in fairly deep waters, resting on coral outcrops and rubble areas, over soft and stony corals.
They feed on crustaceans and invertebrates.
Length - 4cm
Depth - 20-38m
Western Pacific - Philippines

The species is named after the red-robed and caped Sycorax warriors from the BBC sci-fi series Dr. Who!

Males have a taller more elaborate first Dorsal Fin which erects intermittently when moving around and for mating.
