Description

Also known as Broad-banded Cardinalfish, Nurseryfish, Rifle Cardinal.

Found singly or in small schools, sheltering during the day, dispersing at night to feed in shallow waters of lagoons, coastal reefs and in tide pools.
They feed on benthic crustaceans and zooplankton.

Depth - 0-50m
Widespread Northwest Pacific
