Found on walls and drop-offs, of coral and rocky reefs.
They feed on detritus and plankton.

Depth - 8-30m
Widespread Indo Pacific

During the summer this very pretty ascidian grows in small patches over the reef.

Ascidian, also known as tunicates because their bodies are covered by a "tunic" a tough cellulose-like covering.
The other common name is sea squirt because when threatened they sometimes eject a jet of water. (edit) Ref: x
