Description

Also known as Beau Gregory Damselfish, Ocellate Damsel, Ocellate Damselfish, Ocellated Damselfish, Princess Damselfish.

Found singly or in loose schools, over mixed coral and rubble areas of lagoons and fringing reefs. Geographical variation in colour.
They feed on filamentous algae and small invertebrates.
Length - 10cm
Depth - 1-45m
Widespread Eastern Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean

Damselfish are egg layers.
First they clear a site ready for a nest, then engage in a mating dance with rapid swimming and fin movements, during this time the males will often turn a shade or two darker and may display white blotches. Spawning occurs at dawn. Ref: https://www.fishbase.se/summary/5730

    I have 2 princess damsel fish and one is fighting with the other but don't do any thing to the other damsels
