Description

Also known as Colonial Sea Squirt, Colonial Tunicate, Purple Sea Mat, Rose Tunicate, Sea Squirt, Wrinkled Sea Mats.

Found in lobed colonies, anchored to hard surfaces, of dead coral and rocks on shallow reefs.
This tunicate is known to host the shrimp Periclimenaeus kottae.
They feed on suspended plankton and zooplankton.
Length - 20-40cm
Depth - 10-30m
