Description

Also known as Dusky Seaperch, Pile Seaperch, Pile Surfperch, Seaperch.

Found in loose schools in kelp beds, around pilings, and underwater structures, of rocky shores.
They feed on barnacles, crabs, and hard-shelled molluscs.
Length - 44.2cm
Depth - 0-46m
Widespread Eastern Pacific

Some Surfperches are harvested commercially, and some are used as cleaner fish, for sea lice on farmed salmon.
