Also known as Pufferfish, Margaritata Pufferfish, Red Sea Pufferfish, Sharp-nosed Puffer, Spotted Sharpnose Puffer.

Found singly or in pairs, in shallow protected channels, lagoons, reef flats and in tide pools.
They feed on algae and invertebrates.

The bodies of Pufferfish are covered in a toxic mucus, if the skin or flesh is consumed it can be fatal to humans.
