Also known as Bignose, Burmese Banded Algae Eater, Rainbow Garra, Rhinohorn Fish, Suckermouth Barb.

Found in schools, over mixed gravel, pebble and rock substrates, in canals, ditches, flooded fields and rivers.
They feed on algae, detritus and insects.

Very common in the aquarium trade.
