Found in very deep waters of the ocean, migrating upwards at night too feed. These fish have light sensitive organs in their bellies to entice their victims!
They feed on small planktonic crustaceans, fish and arrow worms.

Widespread Eastern Pacific, Northwest Pacific

These small, deep sea fish, have fearsome jaws and teeth, with light sensitive organs along their bellies to attract their prey. They live very deep during the day, rising upwards at night to find their victims.
